Kelsey Porter grew up on a cattle/buffalo ranch just east of Medicine Hat, Alberta. At the young age of four, she started studying piano and voice at the Medicine Hat Conservatory of Music. At the age of 10, Kelsey started playing guitar instructed by Tim Herman and later Todd Lefever. Shortly into her music career, she started touring with a family band, SWASS, which included her brother Kalan Porter (2004 Canadian Idol winner) and her sister Mackenzie Porter (actress and country artist). Once Kelsey finished high school, she attended the University of Calgary to finish her Degree of Commerce. Kelsey plays a variety of instruments including guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica, while Daniel shreds the lead guitar. Together they play a wide variety of folk rock, classic rock, indie rock and country covers, as well as their own originals. They play at a variety of venues throughout Western Canada and are looking forward to recording their first album.
